Description
Summer nights were generally very warm in ‘The Valley,’ often well above 80 degrees. As children growing up there, many of us usually went barefoot all summer long. This was our natural state of being, and for many, it carried on well into our young adulthood. Perhaps it might be an overstatement to say that ‘everyone went barefoot,’ but there were sure a lot of young people who regularly went shoeless. These two ladies are lovely example.
