Description
Bigger than life, Barbara is a near perfect representation of a long-passed era of carhops, drive-in restaurants, and the time we ate our hamburgers and drank our milkshakes while parked in our automobiles under the lights. Not only Barbara’s wonderful smile, but the background of the solid stainless steel countertop, so sparklingly reflective, the stack of heavily used ‘car trays’ with the worn rubber legs, and the coffee machines and accoutrements of the restaurant world, makes this image endlessly interesting. I can look at it for hours. It would be terrific to hear from Barbara today.
