Description
I am excited to share this limited-edition collection of six (6) black-and-white photographs featuring the authentic ‘Valley Girls’ of the 1972 Van Nuys Boulevard cruising scene.
Long before Valley Girls became cultural icons of the late 1970s and 1980s mall culture, I captured the real, authentic individuals who defined the era. These young women were style-conscious and expressive, showcasing their unique looks in the heart of cruising culture—years before the term became synonymous with pop culture and “The Mall.”
These 5″x7″ giclée prints are reproduced on 8″x8″ sheets of archival paper, ensuring exceptional quality and lasting preservation. Each collector-grade giclée print is signed, numbered, and sold as a complete set, with only six (6) sets being produced.
Four of theses six prints are from my coffee table book, VAN NUYS BLVD 1972: ‘California Dream‘, ‘Dressed to Thrill‘, ‘Who Ya Gonna Call‘, and ‘Barbara‘.
Experience the raw authenticity of the 1972 cruising era and celebrate the origins of a cultural phenomenon.
