‘Barbara’ in Acrylic, Framed

Description

I liked my black and white image of ‘Barbara’ at Bob’s Drive-In so much that I decided to take a shot at creating a painting of her in the ‘Supra-realism’ style that was bouncing around the art world at the time. Although an unlikely candidate for The Museum of Art, my painting does deliver a bright rendition of a past era. Both Barbara and the cook were long-time employees at the Van Nuys Bob’s, some of you might remember them. This is the only painting I produced in this style. The original painting is rather large, 48″x72″ — and yes, I still have it! The nicely framed prints are in the more presentable size of 22″x28″ with the actual image size of 11″x17″.
